BAGUIO CITY, PHILIPPINES – The officers of the University of Baguio Supreme Student Council (UB-SSC) embarked on a meaningful outreach activity at the Baguio General Hospital’s Pediatric Ward. The event was aimed at spreading compassion and support to young patients by distributing essential hygiene kits, contributing to their well-being during their hospital stay.
The outreach initiative was organized to reinforce the university’s commitment to fostering social responsibility among its students. By engaging with local institutions, the UB SSC aims to promote unity and collaboration among various sectors of the community, demonstrating that the values of empathy, care, and service are integral to education.
The hygiene kits distributed contained necessities such as soap, towels, hand sanitizers, and other personal care items, all intended to help children maintain hygiene and comfort during their hospital recovery. The initiative also served as an opportunity for university students to actively participate in community service, reflecting the institution’s belief that education extends beyond academics and encompasses personal growth, responsibility, and a commitment to improving society.
