University of Baguio students were in for a meaningful experience as the Center for Counseling and Student Development (CCSD) brought its services closer to every UBian through the event “Wednesdays with CCSD,held on February 4 and 11, 2026 in celebration of the Love and Wellness Month. The guidance associates set up a welcoming booth at the heart of the University, Campo Manes, where they actively encouraged and promoted students who might be in need of guidance, emotional support, or a listening ear to come forward.

As part of the University’s Love and Wellness Celebration, the initiative highlighted UB’s continuous commitment to promoting students’ holistic well-being. By creating an accessible and welcoming space for guidance, reflection, and support, the activity aligned with the University’s advocacy of nurturing not only academic excellence but also emotional resilience and personal growth.

Through information services, coaching sessions, and wellness engagements, students were encouraged to openly express their thoughts, manage stress, and practice self-care. The presence of guidance associates fostered a safe environment where students could seek guidance, share concerns, and gain insights into their personal and academic challenges. This initiative strengthened the bond between students and guidance associates, reinforcing the idea that seeking help is both empowering and essential.

The event shows the University’s dedication to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being, emphasizing healthy lives and promoting well-being for all, at all ages. By prioritizing mental health awareness, emotional support, and student-centered services, CCSD contributes to building a healthier, more resilient student community. Additionally, the activity supports SDG 4: Quality Education, as student well-being plays a vital role in academic success, motivation, and lifelong learning.

Wednesdays with CCSD” served as a reminder that wellness is a shared responsibility. Through initiatives like this, the University of Baguio continues to create a compassionate campus culture, one where students feel seen, heard, and supported, ensuring that no UBian walks their journey alone.
