The University of Baguio School of Nursing formalized its affiliation with Emergency Medical Services – Baguio City to expand clinical training opportunities in emergency care.

The partnership provided nursing students with supervised exposure to pre-hospital response, triage procedures, and patient stabilization in real-time emergency settings. Through structured coordination between faculty members and EMS personnel, students were able to apply classroom knowledge to actual field operations while adhering to professional and safety standards.

The affiliation strengthened experiential learning by immersing students in high-pressure healthcare environments that required critical thinking, teamwork, and rapid decision-making. In support of local health initiatives, students also assisted at the City Hall clinic under the supervision of Dr. Halog, where they performed blood pressure monitoring and vital signs assessment, further reinforcing their foundational clinical skills.

Through this initiative, the University of Baguio continued to reinforce its commitment to producing clinically competent and responsive healthcare professionals equipped to meet the demands of emergency medical practice.
