Mr. Inigo Anton, a 1st-year student of the School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM) at the University of Baguio, possesses these qualities in abundance. Recently, his efforts paid off when he was awarded as DRIVER OF THE YEAR for Circuit Racing by the Automobile Association of Philippines last April 13, 2023.
Inigo’s passion for racing began at a young age. His father introduced him to the world of racing and ever since. he was fascinated by the adrenaline rush and excitement that comes with the sport. He began competing in go-kart racing at a young age, and from there, his love for the sport grew stronger.
In 2022, Inigo was named Fastest Driver by Radical Philippines after winning the championship. This was just the beginning of what would be a banner year for the young racing phenom. He went on to win the overall championship trophy for the top classes for Philippine Grand Touring Championships and Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup Championship. It was truly a remarkable feat and the first time for a Filipino racer to win in three different championships in one year.
Inigo’s success on the track is a testament to his hard work and dedication to the sport. He spends countless hours practicing and perfecting his craft, often sacrificing his personal time to improve his skills.
