Baguio City, April 25, 2025 — The Mister and Miss University of Baguio 2025 (MMUB25) conducted its grand coronation night at the UB Cardinals Gymnasium. Representing the School of Nursing, Ms. Nicole Antonette B. Tilap and Mr. Steve Justin S. Andres brought pride and distinction to their department in the recently concluded competition.
Nicole, a second-year nursing student, earned the prestigious title of Miss University of Baguio 2025 1st Runner-Up and was recognized with the Best in Up Close Video award. Advocating for cultural inclusivity, Tilap emphasized the importance of unity, understanding, and respect among individuals of diverse backgrounds. In the final Question and Answer segment, she shared, “The most important lesson worth celebrating is my identity. In a diverse institution like UB, I advocate bringing people together — promoting unity, respect, and understanding, regardless of background, race, and gender.” Nicole’s fierce advocacy reflects her unwavering commitment to excellence and leadership.


Meanwhile, Steve, a first-year nursing student, delivered an equally remarkable performance. Championing mental health awareness, Andres was awarded Best in Creative Wear and named Mister University of Baguio 2025 2nd Runner-Up. In his final Q&A, he reflected, “This celebration molded me into a humble human being. It reminds us to be grateful, to celebrate small victories, and to recognize the growth we experience as individuals coming from diverse walks of life.” Steve’s powerful message, delivered with humility and strength, resonated deeply and showcased his dedication to personal and communal growth.


Throughout the competition, both Tilap and Andres demonstrated the core values of the School of Nursing. Their months of preparation were marked not only by talent and determination but also by a deep commitment to advocacy and personal growth. The School of Nursing congratulates Nicole and Steve for their outstanding representation and inspiring journey. Their success at MMUB25 stands as a proud testament to the spirit, strength, and heart of the University of Baguio nursing community. Asia Ciano of the University of Baguio High School (UBHS) was crowned Ms. UB 2025, while Keorrow Ken Klister Sabio of the School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM) was named Mr. UB 2025.
