UB Psyche Unveils the Power of Connection: Highlights from the Acquaintance Party Celebration

After years of online classes because of the COVID outbreak, the Bachelor of Science in Psychology hosted a face-to-face acquaintance party for the students. The Psyche Org presents a pajama party, with the theme Psychedelic Soiree: Navigating the maze of Forging Connection.

Psychedelic Soiree, delved into the idea of a celebration of shared awareness. Psychology students were encouraged to have connections and engagement between other students and department faculties fostering an environment that supports personal development through social interactions. Through this face-to-face program of the UB Psyche, students were allowed to boost morale, facilitate interactions, and contribute to a more positive and collaborative environment for the students.

The excitements of the students exuded from the University of Baguio’s Cardinals Gym as the event was celebrated by more than four hundred (400) participants, including members of the school faculty. The program was hosted by Jan Repomanta and Leslie Dayote, UB Psyche officers. Ms. Lora Janis Dangatan, UB Psyche Adviser, welcomed everyone with her message in the opening remarks. Initiating the purpose of the program, UB Psychology faculties facilitate the group dynamics for the students. A special treat for the students and faculties was presented, an intermission number from Syncho Band, the winner of the STELA Battle of the Bands Winner. Another intermission number presented by Gieyen Tumale was shared.

A special award was bestowed to two psychology students as the Star of the Day. The afternoon program was led by Ms. Mary Joy Trillana, UB Psyche officer for the Breakout Session. The last part of the program was tied up by the UB Psyche President, Ms. Michaela France Ferrer for her closing remarks.

This event played a pivotal role in the academic and personal development of the psychology students. It also created an inclusive environment where people from various backgrounds came together that fostered a sense of belonging.
