On February 14, 2026, Baguio City burst with color and joy for the Panagbenga Festival. On the same day, the University of Baguio (UB) joined Handog ng Panagbenga sa Pamilya Baguio. UB held this event at the Melvin Jones Football Grounds. They shared their time, talents, and services with the community.

Students, faculty, and volunteers from different departments worked together to create booths and activities for families. A highlight was the free face painting booth. Kids picked flowers and created fun designs with joy. Families also enjoyed pot painting and coloring activities. They laughed and spent time together, making the moment special.
UB provided more than creative activities. They also offered free services like legal consultations, dental check-ups, health consultations, blood typing, and posture checks. Many community members asked questions and got basic health and legal help. Simple treats like free coffee and goodie bags added to the welcoming atmosphere.
The day became even more special with performances from UB PLUG AND PLAY and UB BIBAK UBBUN KAAFUAN. Their music and cultural shows added energy to the event. They also highlighted the university’s talents.
More than joining a festival, UB’s participation showed its heart for service. The event reminded us that Panagbenga is not about flowers and fun. It’s also about uniting as one community. UB was thankful to share smiles and volunteer alongside Pamilya Baguio.
